Beginners Hike at Radnor Lake
Radnor Lake Visitor Center
Sat, Apr 21 11:00 am

Have you been a member for a while and just haven't "gotten your feet wet" yet? This is the perfect hike for new members or just beginners. We will leave the Nature Center and proceed up the paved road and take South Cove. This is the one hill we will do. Don't worry. It doesn't last long, and we will take our time. Once you conquer that, it's a "walk in the park!" Note that on good weather days Radnor parking can get crowded. Please observe all traffic flow and parking rules posted. Carpool if possible. Considering overcrowding, we will wait for an extra 15-20 minutes if those who are signed up are late. If you don't make the beginning of the hike, take the Otter Creek paved road all the way to the three-way intersection where South Cove Trail ends. Wait for us there! We will continue on for a leisurely stroll down the Lake Trail and back to the parking lot. You do need to be prepared. Please bring drinking water and wear the appropriate clothing and shoes. If there weather is cold, please wear layers, gloves and a hat. If you have hiking poles, bring them! DO NOT FORGET YOUR WATER or to introduce yourself and sign in. HIKE STATS: Meeting Place: Trailhead at Granny White Pike/Nature Center entrance Hike Distance: 3.5 - 4.0 miles Estimated Hike Time: 2-3 hours Leader: Lisa Presley
