Otherwise: Peace comes through struggle. It's a reward that's earned rather than simply given. It's the product of tireless work and an unbreakable spirit against all odds and opposition. OTHERWISE are no strangers to that struggle, rising up to become rock 'n' roll contenders in the face of a tumultuous musical climate and a series of personal hardships. The Las Vegas hard alternative rock quintet—Adrian Patrick [vocals], Ryan Patrick [guitar/vocals], Corky Gainsford [drums/vocals], Vassilios Metropoulos [bass], & Andrew Pugh [guitar/vocals]—catalog the next chapter of this journey on their second full-length album, Peace At All Costs [Century Media Records]. The ride starts with that very title. Adrian explains, "Our grandmother used to always say it. Peace At All Costs is a double entendre. We interpret the phrase as, 'Give us peace, or we'll take it from you.' The whole point of us being on this musical odyssey is our search for peace. We want to do something impactful in the world, and we're not going to stop. We're starting with ourselves first. It's about finding inner peace and restoring equilibrium within yourself. Music allows us to do that." Wayland: Over the last few years the genre of rock has been pulled in so many different directions, leaving timeless vocal melodies and guitars to become far and few between. Wayland naturally possesses these qualities and more. Formed in 2010, The band was soon signed to Kiefer Sutherland's Iron Works Records by hit singer/ song writer/ producer Jude Cole. Managed by Jesse James Dupree, Wayland released their first single "Welcome To My Head" which experienced high ranking on Mainstream and Active Rock charts. The follow up charting single "Reno" began to showcase Wayland's diverse influences, from huge vocal harmony reminiscent of classic rock icons like Journey and Queen, and thick crunchy guitar riffs and pounding drums leaning on the hard rock side of the spectrum. Emerge: Emerge is a 3 piece hard rock band consisting of brothers Jared and Jeff Jones, and Will Stubblefield. Building on influences from bands such as Alter Bridge, Sevendust, and Breaking Benjamin, Emerge believes in writing heavy music, with a passion for what they do. The band has shared the stage with many national acts, including Scott Stapp, Fuel, Trapt, and The Veer Union. Emerge released their debut EP, "No Remorse", on March 4th 2016.
