Cory Batten and Kent Blazy co-wrote Chris Young’s #1 hit “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song).” Batten also wrote, “She Wouldn’t Be Gone” (Blake Shelton), “The Call” (Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood), and songs recorded by Love and Theft, Clay Walker, and Rhonda Vincent. Kent Blazy has written numerous songs recorded by Garth Brooks, including the hits “Ain’t Going Down (Til the Sun Comes Up),” “If Tomorrow Never Comes,” “She’s Gonna Make It,” and “Somewhere Other Than the Night.” Blazy also wrote, “Headed for a Heartache” (Gary Morris), “All the Women I Am” (Reba McEntire), and songs recorded by Diamond Rio, Kenny Chesney, Terri Clark, Patty Loveless, Randy Houser, and Jon Pardi. This Songwriter Session, presented by SunTrust, is located in the Ford Theater. Limited seating.
