Musician Spotlight: Al Perkins: Steel Guitars

Steel guitar great Al Perkins started playing Hawaiian-style guitar at age nine. He joined the country-rock band Shiloh in the early 1970s and went on to play with the Flying Burrito Brothers, Dolly Parton, and Emmylou Harris’s Nash Ramblers. Perkins has toured and recorded with Cher, Rita Coolidge, Bob Dylan, Dan Fogelberg, and Dwight Yoakam. While a member of the Nash Ramblers, Perkins played on Harris’s Grammy-winning album Live at the Ryman, and he appears on the Rolling Stones’ Exile on Main Street. Limited seating.
