Songwriter Session: Robbie Fulks
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
Sat, May 19 11:30 am

Robbie Fulks has written many a fine straightforward country song, but more often he subverts convention with clever twists that are, by turns, witty, wryly observant, or dryly sentimental. An accomplished guitarist, the longtime Chicago resident emerged in the 1990s as an early adopter in the Americana music field. In recent years he has explored his roots in bluegrass and acoustic country music, with work that continues to surprise and delight. Fulks’s outstanding album Upland Stories received two Grammy nominations in 2017. Presented by SunTrust.  Ford Theater.
